This little baker is perfect for baking garlic and spreading on hot crusty rolls with butter!
A natural property of terracotta is it's ability to withstand thermal shock. For this reason, terracotta is ideal as a cooking pot - the base of the pot is internally glazed.
To bake the garlic, peel off the outer skin of each clove. Place a small knob of butter in the base of the pot, then add the garlic cloves. Cover with the lid and place in a pre-heated oven at Gas Mark 5, 180ÂșC for around 40 minutes. The garlic will then be soft, and is ideal for mashing with vegetables, or for spreading on hot crusty rolls.
