With
Ambiente, Berndes combines three materials – 18/10 stainless steel, aluminium and glass – and utilises the best features of each to create cookware with both beautiful presentation and performance.
18/10 stainless steel is valued in cookware for both durability and aesthetic appeal. 18/10 stainless steel is used in Ambiente for the vessels, handles, knobs, finger guards and rims,
and is equally attractive and functional. Polished to a higher lustre, it creates a pan that is an exquisite addition to any kitchen.
Aluminium is used in cookware because its excellent heat distribution guarantees even browning and cooking of foods. In Ambiente, a thick aluminium disc is added to the outside base of the cookware. Then this aluminium disk is fully encapsulated in stainless steel.
The glass is break-resistant; ovenproof glass lids are used on Ambiente. Use of glass for the lids allows viewing of foods without disturbing the cooking process. The dome shape and tight fit seals in moisture, flavour and nutrients and returns them to the foods cooking in the pan.
